TECHNICIAN I TRAINING CLASS


At Industrial Protection Services (IPS), we offer a comprehensive Technician I Training Class for 3M  Scott  Fire & Safety Equipment. This specialized one-day course is designed for end users aiming to perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on their 3M  Scott  Air-Paks.

  • Objective: Equip participants with the skills to conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs, ensuring equipment reliability and user safety

Training Details:

  • Location: Classes are primarily held in-house at IPS's facility in Salem, NH. Upon request, arrangements can be made to conduct training sessions at your location to better accommodate your team's needs.
  • Certification: Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate, validating their capability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on 3M™  Scot™  Air-Paks.

Importance of SCBA Training:

Proper training in the maintenance and repair of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is crucial for firefighter safety. Regular inspection and upkeep of SCBA units ensure they function correctly during critical situations. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1404, comprehensive training programs are essential components of a fire department's respiratory protection program.
